Being developed very actively by an extremely well organized team. Huge changes to diplomacy and the waging of war, and the best modeling of a total war. Probably the best mod if you want to use pike and shot. Varied firearms, diverse factions, elaborate battlefield tactics for cavalry and skirmishers, as well as a number of new items - cannons on elephantback, hand grenades, firecracker arrows. It has fully functional battlefield magic, and a number of other interesting ideas, like race relations, migrating new population into cities, elite troops depending on relations with factions, etc. But I really enjoy the atmosphere, and all the little touches. The English translation is not all it should be, though. Here are my current top five, in alphabetical order, because they are too different to rank: There are a few mods that I play and enjoy more than Pendor, although they all have problems. When I said newer, you must understand that everything is newer than Pendor :-) But I wonder what newer mods do you play with new interesting ideas? I used to play Perisno too, but I'm waiting for its completion now. But polish matters! I agree with your points, I play mostly POP because I find it the most polished mod, though in my opinion those badass troops are problematic, not from a lore POV, but gameplaywise. Why do you give such an elaborated answer to an obvious imbecile? He doesn't deserve it. But polish matters! Seriously, Pendor is so well polished that I simply haven't been able to stick with any other mods because none of them have the polish that Prophesy of Pendor has. So, I would say that if you have tried and liked some of the more daring mods, Pendor does not have much going on except for polish. But I still understand why Pendor is so popular. And as opposed to the ♥♥♥, Pendor is created by a team that takes input, has a collective knowledge of medieval equipment, and no firm policy of storing heads inside аssеs. People talk about Pendor, the way they talk about the ♥♥♥. Nothing as good as SuvMa's or The Last Days', but once again Pendor had them first, and the newer, experimental mods are hardly known by anyone.Ħ) Word of mouth. Sure, the Wedding Dance had better ones first, but who remembers "The Wedding Dance"?ĥ) It has tactical A.I. For many players, it may be the first time they encounter such.Ĥ) It had interesting diplomatic options before Diplomacy existed. New in the sense that before it introduced them, no one had them - custom knights, magic weapons, elixirs, rumors, invasion armies, Noldor.ģ) It has high level, badаss troops. But I still understand why Pendor is so popular.ġ) Really polished, in the sense that there are few if any bugs, practically no low resolution textures, no stylistically jarring models, etc.Ģ) It does have a few new mechanics.
