If you were using a workaround like (repo/blob/master/other_file.md), you'll have to update your documentation to use the new syntax. (path%20with%20spaces/other_file.md)Īnd we'll make sure it gets linked to user/repo/blob/branch/other_file.md. …you can use a relative link: (other_file.md) You want examples of link definitions and how they work? Here's some Markdown for you. Now you can link directly between different documentation files, whether you view the documentation on GitHub itself, or locally, using a different markup renderer. Starting today, GitHub supports relative links in markup files. Update 30th, January 2013, 16 months later: GitHub Blog Post Relative links in markup files: (even if the behavior when multiple links are defined, or when a link is defined but never used, is not strictly specified). In general, this approach should work with most Markdown parsers, since it's part of the core specification. Some parsers will output the comment if there is no blank line before, and some parsers will exclude the following line if there is no blank line after. The most recent research with Babelmark shows that blank lines before and after are both important. To improve platform compatibility (and to save one keystroke) it is also possible to use # (which is a legitimate hyperlink target) instead of : : # (This may be the most platform independent comment)įor maximum portability it is important to insert a blank line before and after this type of comments, because some Markdown parsers do not work correctly when definitions brush up against regular text. Or you could go further: : (This is also a comment.) : (in the output file unless you use it in) That is: : (This is a comment, it will not be included) If you want a comment that is strictly for yourself (readers of the converted document should not be able to see it, even with "view source") you could (ab)use the link labels (for use with reference style links) that are available in the core Markdown specification: The tests at the end of MarkdownFormatterTest seem to be commented out by private? Not sure why, but the tests work even after commenting it out to #private.I believe that all the previously proposed solutions (apart from those that require specific implementations) result in the comments being included in the output HTML, even if they are not displayed. The patch is included including a unit test. So I would strongly vote to change the default behavior towards more standard Markdown / GFM to stay compatible with the world. I guess we are not that rare when we intend to share Markdown sources between Redmine and GitLab and among Redmine and other systems - using API, mirroring wiki to git and indeed with users' copy&pasting it. And as the author says, it is against Markdown specs. On the other hand, it breaks compatibility with GFM, especially on its two major implementations GitHub and GitLab (as said - except GitHub issues, but our developers are really angry about GitHub issues having different behaviour than the rest of GitHub). Indeed, we do not know how intentional the decision was. On one hand, calling this a defect might not be fair, as it is apparently kind-of decision made in lib/redmine/wiki_formatting/markdown/formatter.rb with the setting :hard_wrap => true.

Circus of the Stars and Carson & Barnes still use exotic animals, including Elephants, in their shows today. While the Tyke incident challenged people around the world to think about our relationship to circus animals, many circuses such as the Kelly Miller Circus, UniverSoul Circus, Cole Bros. A circus spokesman recently told the Honolulu Star-Advertiser that animals would be excluded from the shows, and PETA applauded the decision in a press release: In 2014, when the Moscow International Circus announced that it would perform in Honolulu with “wild animals”, activist group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals circulated a petition against it. No circus elephants have performed since Tyke, even though there is no prohibition against it. Twenty seven years later, witnesses still remember it vividly, and the attitude in Honolulu toward animal-driven circuses is distrusting. People watched aghast from their cars, apartments and the sidewalk. They soon realized the supposed dummy was a severely injured groomer. “We thought it was part of the show,” one witness told the Honolulu Star-Advertiser. Will Disney then merge Hulu and Disney+ together for a one-stop streaming service? Would Disney attempt to sell off Hulu to focus on Disney+ instead? Or would Disney seek to make Hulu more of a destination for its more mature and adult content, such as FX and FXX programming, that doesn’t pair as well with the Disney+ branding? Ultimately, time will tell.We polled 166 of our readers to find out what they think about Mickey's House. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for Disney’s streaming goals if the company acquires the rest of Comcast’s stake in Hulu, making Disney the owner of both Hulu and Disney+. However, another 20% is also owned by A&E Networks, of which Disney has a 50% joint ownership. The television network is known for its popular docuseries, such as Dark Side of Comedy and Dark Side of the Ring. 16% of VICE Media, including the TV network VICE, is owned by Disney. The Canada-based digital media and broadcasting company, VICE Media, falls under a joint ownership that Disney has a minority stake in the company. The good news is that in 2021, Lucasfilm rebranded its gaming division as Lucasfilm Games to handle the licensing of its Lucasfilm properties, meaning that Lucasfilm Games is another subsidiary also owned by Disney. Disney’s purchase of Lucasfilm granted Disney ownership of the Lucasfilm production company, the game development publishing wing LucasArts, the industry-leading special effects house Industrial Light & Magic ( ILM), and the sound effects and editing company Skywalker Sound. However, what is also notable about the Disney buyout is the various subsidiary and technology groups that fell under the Lucasfilm banner. The Lucasfilm acquisition gave Disney ownership of Star Wars and Indiana Jones, and any other entertainment assets and IP owned by Lucasfilm. In October 2012, Disney acquired George Lucas’ company, Lucasfilm Ltd., for $4.05 billion, which was just slightly more than the cost of Marvel Entertainment. In July 1995, Disney and ABC announced a merger that would be completed in February 1996. Disney would eventually buy back ABC’s investment in Disneyland in 1960 for the price of $7.5 million. ABC made a $500,000 investment and a guarantee of an additional $4.5 million in loans, which in turn made ABC one-third owner of Disneyland at the time. In 1954, Walt Disney agreed to produce a regular television series for the network, and in return, ABC made an investment in the Disneyland theme park. The American Broadcasting Company ( ABC) and The Walt Disney Company have a longstanding relationship going back to the 1950s and the days of Walt Disney. This would easily be fixed with a balancing patch, of course, but as it stands right now the game is HARD to do well at.ĭespite this hitch, Surf ‘n’ Turf is easy to recommend to Overcooked fans as long as you are up to the challenge. Given that you need a set number of stars to progress few the levels, this is likely to pose a barrier which some players will not be willing to put in the time and effort to progress beyond. Playing as part of a duo, it is hard to see this any other way than the game having been optimised for more players, with the maximum stars being almost unobtainable no matter how hard you push or how few mistakes you make. The only problem which arises with Surf ‘n’ Turf is that the beach-themed levels require an overwhelming number of points to fully complete. The additional chefs will no doubt excite players, but the message which the game continues to send about being inclusive to all kinds of players from a variety of background only adds to the already abundant air of positivity that Overcooked offers to players. Continuing a popular theme of inclusion in the game, the parrot chef is joined by a firey island chef a character distinguishable by their facial tattoos and unique garb, making them stand out from the other characters already in the game. In this addition to the main game, players are rewarded with a new parrot chef perhaps the most colourful character in the game to date. The 13th and 14th centuries also saw form changes, with the blade also lengthening, the rear horn extending to touch or attach to the haft. They also began to be used widely as an infantry polearm, with the haft lengthening to about 1.8 metres (6 ft). The Dane axe became widely used throughout Europe from the 10th century, with axes gaining acceptance as a knightly weapon not long after albeit not achieving the status of the sword. One surviving ivory plaque from the 10th century Constantinople depicts a Varangian holding an axe that is at least as tall as its wielder. The Dane axe is also known to have been used by the Varangian Guard, also known as pelekyphoros phroura ( πελεκυφόρος φρουρά), the "axe-bearing guard". The Bayeux Tapestry also depicts a huscarl cleaving a Norman knight's horse's head with one blow. A Dane axe, perhaps King Edward's, is offered to Harold before he is crowned. These huscarls formed the core bodyguard of King Harold at the Battle of Hastings. In the Bayeux tapestry, a visual record of the ascent of William the Conqueror to the throne of England, the axe is almost exclusively wielded by well armoured huscarls. Historical accounts may depict the Dane axe as the weapon of some of the warrior elite in this period, such as the Huscarls of Anglo-Saxon England. Through the course of the 9th–11th centuries, the Dane axe began to gain further popularity outside of Scandinavia, either through Viking trade or influence or independent developments such as England, Ireland and Normandy. Ash and oak are the most likely materials for the haft, as they have always been the primary materials used for polearms in Europe. Some surviving examples also feature a brass haft cap, often richly decorated, which presumably served to keep the head of the weapon secure on the haft, as well as protecting the end of the haft from the rigours of battle. Such axes might also feature inlaid silver and frequently do not have the flared steel edge of a weapon designed for war. 0.9 and 1.2 m (3.0 and 3.9 ft) long, although Dane axes used as status symbols might be as long as 1.5 to 1.7 m (5 to 5½ ft). forged thin and incorporating a harder type of steel near the edge) results in a lively and quick weapon with devastating cutting ability.īased on period depictions, the haft of a longaxe for combat was usually between approx. Proportionally, the long axe has more in common with a modern meat cleaver than a wood axe. Average weight of an axe this size is between 1 and 2 kg (2.2 and 4.4 lb). Many of these axes were constructed with a reinforced bit, typically of a higher carbon steel to facilitate a harder, sharper edge. The thickness of the body on top the edge is as thin as 2 mm. The blade itself was reasonably light and forged very thin, making it superb for cutting. Later type M blades are typically larger overall, with a more symmetrical toe and heel. Type L blades tend to be smaller, with the toe of the bit swept forward for superior shearing capability. Cutting surfaces vary, but is generally between 20 and 30 cm (8 and 12 in). Both types consist of a wide, thin blade, with pronounced "horns" at both the toe and heel of the bit. Most axes, both in period illustrations and extant artifact, that fall under the description of Danish axe possess type L or type M heads according to the Petersen axe typology. If syncing with Dropbox or iCloud is enabled, 1Password stores its vaults inside the Dropbox and iTunes/iCloud backups correspondingly. Passware Kit supports both OPVault and Agile Keychain vaults, as well as the Online database format used in the browser versions of 1Password. The OPVault is now the default format for syncing with iCloud and Dropbox. In December 2012, AgileBits introduced the OPVault format to replace the outdated Agile Keychain format. In some cases, Passware Kit Mobile can decrypt a 1Password database instantly. * Besides the GPU-accelerated brute-force recovery of a master password, Passware Kit is also capable of acquiring it from a live memory image for the standalone 1Password for Mac. Let’s take a closer look into the password managers, their versions, and how difficult it is to break into them. Broadly speaking, the software recovers the master password of the application using a brute-force method with GPU acceleration where possible and afterwards extracts the contained passwords and other records. Given this, the vault can be exported and analyzed by Passware Kit. In general, Passware Kit supports five password managing applications: 1Password, KeePass, LastPass, Dashlane, and macOS Keychain.įor the master password to reside in the app’s vault, there should be at least one successful login to the password manager on the target computer. Passware has recently updated its Password Managers decryption option by adding the support for Mac version of Dashlane – The Best Password Manager for 2022, according to PC Mag. Take a look at “The Potential Importance Of Information From Password Managers” article for further reference. This data is very appealing to computer forensics. However, a password manager app, besides passwords, can contain additional data sources, emails, connections, online banking details, and even documents. Be it a free open-source tool or a commercial security architecture, many of us are using them to store our sensitive data. That is why more and more people are turning to password managers. Hence, keeping track of numerous password combinations has become a task on its own. We are using longer and more complex passwords to protect our accounts. The first trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom debuted during Nintendo's E3 showcase in June 2019. "In order to make the game's experience something special, the entire development team is continuing to work diligently on this game, so please wait a while longer." However, the expanded world goes beyond that, and there will be an even wider variety of features you can enjoy including new encounters and new gameplay elements," he continued. "As previously announced, the adventure in this sequel will take place not just on the ground as in the previous game but also in the skies above. For those of you who have been looking forward to a release this year, we apologise. However, we have decided to extend our development time a bit and change the release to Spring 2023. "We previously announced that we were aiming for a 2022 release for this game. "I have an update to share on the launch timing of the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild," said Aonuma. Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma confirmed the delay in a video announcement made in March 2022: Originally announced at E3 2019, Tears of the Kingdom was first scheduled to launch sometime in 2022, however, was pushed back to Spring 2023. Zelda games also have a history of being delayed time and time again, so when 2022 was slated as the current date, we were still a little apprehensive. Let's hope no further delays occur. Regardless, now that Tears of the Kingdom is launching in May, there's no clear pattern and Nintendo will just launch the game when it's good and ready.ĭue to the global pandemic, numerous games around the world have been delayed as a result and it's only set to continue to affect the industry for the next few years. If we just address mainline Zelda games that launched on console, the most common dates range between November and December. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will launch on for the Nintendo Switch.Since The Legend of Zelda first made its debut on the NES all the way back in 1986, there have been over 26 games in the mainline series (including remakes). We might get more concrete information about Tears of the Kingdom ahead of its release, though. It’s dubious at best, considering there isn’t any proof like screenshots or a track record from the leaker to support them. None of the information in this leak has been confirmed. However, he admits at the end of the video that he doesn’t think playable Zelda is likely because of how Nintendo has dodged the possibility for so long. SwitchForce also pointed out that he could “look different” if New Game Plus enabled playing as other characters like Zelda. SwitchForce notes that this could be lost in translation and is probably the least clear detail mentioned in the leak, considering “look different” could mean a number of things from changing outfits to Link’s arm returning to normal. Related to New Game Plus, Link will apparently “look different” at the end of Tears of the Kingdom. New Game Plus is a feature that enables players to carry over progress like stats, weapons, and other items into a new playthrough so that it’s easier to explore areas you might’ve missed and replay specific moments without grinding through the same content again. Tears of the Kingdom might also incorporate “New Game Plus,” which would be a first for the Legend of Zelda series. In some places, change will be swift in others, gradual. The Igbo culture is respected and praised widely because of their eccentric style, art, cuisine, but their religious beliefs are what draws the most attention to them. It wasn’t until the mid 20th century that the people involved in this multi-ethnic group developed a strong passion for their culture and began to live and practice collectively as one (Brittanica, 2). Ibo culture is a sublime heritage, where the act of marriage is a sacred celebration to the Igbo people, where tradition must reside.īefore European colonization, the people of Ibo culture did not live in unison but they lived in self-governing environments. Igbo people are unique for not only their language but also for their traditional religious beliefs and values. Igbo is a language originating off of the Benue-Congo branch of the Niger-Congo language family (Brittanica, 1), and is the principal native language of the Ibo people. The Ibo people are known to speak a distinctive language known as Igbo. The chief mode of communication is always through the physical placement, by the messenger, of the symbols of office in the hands of the dreamer, and in many cases this act is reinforced by a voice telling the dreamer that he has been chosen for office. The Igbo people, also known as Ibo, are an ethnic group that inhabits south-central and south-eastern Nigeria and some parts of Equatorial Guinea. In some cases, the first type of messenger appears in an initial dream, and in a following dream the message is strengthened by the appearance of the other type. Usually, the messenger who appears in the dream is either the previous tenant of the office or a manifestation of the spirit to the service of whom the office is devoted. When the Igbo determine succession to religious office, dreams and the use of dream narratives are sometimes thought to be a manifestation both of the agency of the spiritual entity behind the office and of the candidate’s chi.ĭreams are perceived as a means for divine messages, and the role of divination in the succession process is regarded as a means of both interpreting and validating the message of a dream. In addition to being a consequence of achievement motivation, dreams, omens, and prophecy are seen in Igbo society as the principal demonstration of extra-human powers in the candidacy for religious office. LeVine analyzed private dreams of personal success as a means of identifying underlying cultural values of achievement motivation. In Igbo thought each person’s life is predestined through the agency of the chi, although this destiny can be modified by the ikenga, the personification of each individual’s right hand, representing the power to achieve.Ī study by Robert LeVine published in 1966 examined achievement motivation among the Igbo. Chiukwu keeps in touch with humans and their affairs through the chi, the spiritual entity embodied in a person’s identity from before birth, which journeys with him or her through life. The universe of the Igbo, a southeastern Nigerian people, is conceptualized into three broad categories through certain metaphors and myths: Elu lgwe, the sky, which is inhabited by the supreme deity Chiukwu Ala Mmuo, the land where reside numerous spirit beings which are either back from their sojourn on the earth or awaiting their turn to begin a new travel in the world of living men-and where are also found the revered ancestors, and Ala Mmadu, land of the living, where spirits are invisible to man.Ĭonsiderable and continuous contact exists between humans and spirits.
